What are the health advantages to becoming a vegetarian?
Is there a link I can go to which will help me know which foods to cut out and which ones are acceptable with vegetarianism?
Besides peanutbutter (I don’t like it and it’s fattening) what food sources can you get protein from if you cut out meat?

I was thinking about going vegetarian, but I read somewhere in a book that I should do a little research that way I can get the balenced diet. Seeing how there are two different types of vegetarian diets, I choose the lacto-ovo lifestyle. This alows me to eat dairy products and eggs. I still am going to need more vitamins and protein, and that’s why I need more websites, just to be sure I have all I need. Please no stupid answers please. Thank you.

I go with science on this one but what do you think?
@ Italia_B I’m actually a nutritionist and there have been many studies that show big drawbacks for the lower intestinal system from not sourcing protein from animals.

I goto a gym, and a dude thats HUGE told me that he’s a strict carnivore, all he eats is meat, and thats his secret for his giant muscles. What vegetables give protein, and make you fatter/larger?

I’ve heard that being a vegetarian doesn’t mean having a diet, because in vegetables, there are a lot protein and carbohydrate. Having to much proteins and carbohydrate will not make someone loss his/her weight. But may make them fatter. So, what’s your opinion about it?

I’m 14 years old 5′1” and 145 pounds. I’m trying to find ways to lose weight being a vegetarian. Almost everything I look at ( what your supposed to eat, recipes etc.) says to eat meat/fish at least once a day for protein to help you lose weight. Can someone please give me things to eat everyday being a vegetarian and exercises to do to help me lose weight?
