it seems like every conversation i have with my brother always come back to my being a vegan. He try to tell me that everything is alive. saying that if i dont eat other living beings then why am I eating plants, cause they alive too. But then im like” its the same, you’re comparing flesh&bone to leaves&stems “, but thats as far as i get. Any ideas? You know something that’ll make sense and put’im in his place.
I meant to say its NOT the same, typed to fast.
we argue because we are brothers.

Veganism For Candida Sufferer
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 at

This article will discuss about veganism. This is based on a question from someone, ‘Is it safe to eat only vegetables?’ This is common question from a candida sufferer.
A friend of mine is trying to do the candida diet as a vegan. She eats nuts and nut butters (she uses organic, unprocessed nuts) and quinoa, and millet. She also consumes occasional oats and potatoes once a week, also Boca Burgers (vegan original). She eats avocados and tomatoes although they are technically fruits.
All nuts contain molds that can aggravate candida. Quinoa, amaranth and millet are high carbohydrate (in spite of the protein claims), millet being the worst one. And potatoes have a higher glycemic index than straight sugar. It breaks down into sugars faster than a lot of foods. She tried eating an anti-candida diet as a vegan and got nowhere, because all of the protein sources also contain such high amounts of carbohydrates. It wasn’t until she started eating meat again that she began making any progress.
For vegetarians and also vegans, it can be really challenging to fulfill the protein needs the candida diet suggests. Protein makes the blood sugar controlled, which preventing sugar spikes and an increase in yeast production. Although the meat sources for protein are out, there are still plenty of non-meat choices to enjoy.
While it may take some extra effort for a vegetarian to be consistent for the candida diet, it is absolutely possible. As always, maintaining your focus on the things you can eat, instead of on the foods you need to avoid, will aid to create a much more pleasant dieting experience.
